Position Summary
The Law Clerk supports the Legal Manager by handling the documentation, research, coordination, and process work that underpins the legal function. This role prepares and organizes legal materials, maintains records and systems, and keeps matters moving day to day — freeing the Legal Manager to focus on strategy, negotiation, and matters requiring a lawyer's judgment. The Law Clerk works under the supervision of the Legal Manager and does not provide legal advice independently.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare first drafts of routine contracts and documents from approved templates for the Legal Manager's review.
- Conduct legal and factual research and prepare summaries and supporting materials.
- Manage construction lien documentation, deadline tracking, and filing requirements under the direction of the Legal Manager.
- Maintain corporate records, minute books, entity filings, insurance documentation, and the contract management system.
- Coordinate with external counsel, opposing parties, and internal teams to gather documents and track action items.
- Maintain organized files, manage matter calendars, and monitor key dates and deadlines.
- Assist with the preparation of litigation, arbitration, and adjudication materials.
- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent; ILCO membership or certification an asset.
- Minimum 2–4 years of law clerk experience, preferably in construction, real estate, or corporate law.
- Familiarity with construction lien and corporate filing processes.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and document management ability.
- Proficiency with legal software and document/contract management systems.
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of the Legal Manager and manage competing deadlines
