WHAT YOU WILL DO AS AN ANALYST, FINANCE, ACQUISTIONS & ASSET MANAGEMENT:

  • Create, own, and present proforma models with a focus on acquisition, development, and disposition of real estate.
  • Assist in financing activities for real estate development projects.
  • Present findings in clear, compelling, and professional presentations to internal and external stakeholders, detailing development feasibility, opportunities, risks, etc.
  • Assist in various due diligence functions leading up to potential acquisitions.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with brokers, lenders, and other third-party consultants.
  • Support the preparation of internal and external investment memorandums and other presentation materials for investors/partners.
  • Undertake ongoing research of new real estate transactions and market trends, and compile market data.
  • Liaise with the development team by researching, modelling, and analyzing all aspects of the development process.
  • Support strategic asset and capital planning initiatives by conducting data-driven analysis.
  • Provide key strategic insights through qualitative and quantitative data (on a location and market-level basis) to inform land acquisitions, development, and project repositioning.
  • Preparing tax slips for investors in various jurisdictions.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • One to three years of varied real estate or financial institution experience
  • Undergraduate degree in real estate, business, accounting and finance, economics, math/statistics, urban planning, engineering or other relevant area of study
  • A keen desire to learn and work in the residential real estate industry is required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Solid foundation of accounting and financial knowledge.
  • Ability to quickly pivot between a variety of projects, be self-motivated, and a team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, building consensus, communicating effectively, and contributing to a positive, growth-oriented work culture.
  • Experience in residential/multi-family development is an asset.
